Important Instructions for Applicants

  • All sections of this membership application form must be completed in full.
  • Incomplete forms or missing information will delay or prevent the processing of your membership.
  • Please ensure that:
    • Every required question is answered.
    • Your details are accurate and up to date.
    • You upload a valid photo according to the ID card photo requirements.
  • Applications with blank fields will not be accepted.

Photo Requirements for ISHR Membership ID Card

To ensure a professional and uniform look for all ISHR membership cards, please follow these guidelines when submitting your photo:

Accepted Photo Type

  • A recent passport-style photo (taken within the last 6 months).
  • Color photo, not black & white.
  • High resolution (minimum 600 x 800 pixels).
  • Format: JPG or PNG.

How You Should Appear

  • Face must be clearly visible and centered.
  • Neutral expression (natural smile or closed mouth).
  • Both eyes open, no sunglasses.
  • Plain, light-colored background (preferably white or light grey).
  • Religious or cultural head coverings are allowed, but your full face must be visible.
  • No hats, caps, or fashion accessories covering the face.

Not Accepted

  • Selfies with filters, effects, or heavy editing.
  • Group photos, cropped images, or blurry photos.
  • Casual pictures with distracting backgrounds (beaches, cars, living rooms, etc.).
  • Photos with shadows, overexposure, or poor lighting.

Do’s and Don’ts of using it

Do’s

  • Carry your ID card (digital or physical) when attending ISHR events, meetings, or conferences.
  • Use it to access member-only resources (e.g., online platforms, newsletters, special forums).
  • Present it when asked for verification by ISHR staff or partners.
  • Safeguard your membership number, QR code, and digital card, treat it like an official document.
  • Report immediately to ISHR if your card is lost, stolen, or compromised.

❌ Don’ts

  • Do not share your membership ID, login details, or QR code with others.
  • Do not use the ID card to claim authority, benefits, or representation outside official ISHR activities.
  • Do not alter, duplicate, or reproduce the card in any form.
  • Do not present the ID as a substitute for government-issued identification.
  • Do not use the card for financial, political, or commercial gain unrelated to ISHR.

Contribute to the ISHR Newsletter

  • Published every two months.
  • Text length: about 1.000 words
  • Licence-free or own Pictures/graphs
  • Short description of you as an author (1 sentence only!)

(Co-)Author an ISHR Briefing Paper
