Arindagye Mercy Melody is a dedicated pharmacist and health equity advocate from Uganda, currently serving as an intern pharmacist at Kisoro General Hospital. Her work is driven by a deep commitment to addressing healthcare disparities and ensuring access to quality medical services for marginalized communities.

Holding a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Melody has built extensive experience in health advocacy, project management, and community engagement. She played a crucial role as a frontline volunteer pharmacist during the COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to public health.

Melody is passionate about empowering marginalized groups, particularly refugees and the Batwa community, ensuring they receive adequate healthcare support. As a United Nations Youth Delegates Fellow, she has led impactful community outreach programs, championing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and advocating for health equity at both national and international levels.

Currently, she is working on a social media campaign titled “Right to Health: Bridging the Gap”, which aims to raise awareness about healthcare inequities and mobilize collective action to address them. Through education, advocacy, and direct engagement, she strives to create a healthcare system that serves everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status.
