Artur completed his studies at the Dnipro University of Customs and Finance. Before his imprisonment, he worked as a lawyer at the University of Applied Sciences for Sport in Kherson.

Abduction

On the morning of 5 September 2022, Artur’s mother was arbitrarily detained by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB). The FSB officers took her to Artur’s flat and threatened her with an assault rifle while ordering Artur to open the door. They threatened to shoot Artur’s mother if he did not comply. After forcing entry into Artur’s flat, the officers detained Artur without explanation and abducted him to an unknown location. Since then, nothing has been known about his fate.
