Regional Updates from Dr. Krmanji Othman
On 30th October, we had an interview with Anadolu News Agency regarding the recent situation of human rights violation in the MENA region, specifically the ongoing conflict in Israel, we addressed the necessity of human rights protection and conflict resolution through peace and negotiation.- On 20 October we attended a one-day session organized by UNICEF and Kurdistan Judicial Institution regarding the child and juvenile justice system, the session was mainly focused on preparing a curriculum for the academic year of the institution mentioned and including all the local and international legal systems related to protecting child rights.
- On 18 October we published an academic article on the “Social Contract” journal under the title (legal review of UNSC resolution No.2379) that related to the mandate of UNITAD investigation team to prosecute ISIS crimes, we addressed the importunate of prevent immunity and impunity to prosecute ISIS crimes and protect religion minorities in Iraq and Kurdistan region.
