Call for Applications: Project Manager Intern

  • Location: Remote or In-Person (Bonn, Germany)
  • Duration: 3 to 6 Months
  • Start Date: Immediate or Negotiable

Position Overview

The Project Manager Intern will play a key role in supporting our Ambassadors during their training for the 2024–2025 cohort. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management, event coordination, and human rights advocacy.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and organizing training sessions, workshops, and events for ISHR Ambassadors.
  • Coordinate communication between ISHR staff, Ambassadors, and external stakeholders.
  • Support the development of training materials and resources.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, including tracking deadlines and deliverables.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling, data entry, and document management.
  • Assist in the evaluation and feedback process for the Ambassador program.
  • Contribute to social media and communications efforts related to the Ambassador training.

Educational Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in International Relations, Human Rights, Political Science,
  • Sociology, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of human rights, project management, or non-profit management is an asset.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German, French, or other languages is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated interest in human rights, social justice, or international affairs.
  • Culturally sensitive, with an ability to work in diverse environments.

  • Gain practical experience in project management and coordination within an international NGO.
  • Develop skills in event planning, stakeholder engagement, and cross-cultural communication.
  • Understand the dynamics of human rights advocacy and learn about global human rights issues.
  • Network with professionals in the field and build connections with human rights advocates worldwide.
