ISHR Baltic State visit

Thomas Schirrmacher starts his first day of the Baltic States trip in Vilnius, Lithuania with a meeting with Jurgita Samoskiene, the Chairwoman of ISHR Lithuania, and Olga Karach, the founder of the non-profit “Our House,” which provides humanitarian aid to around 15,000 Belarusian and 25,000 Ukrainian refugees in Lithuania and coordinates women-led campaigns to mobilize and empower anti-war groups.

While on his visit, Schirrmacher had a meeting with Emanuelis Zingeris, Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, at the Lithuanian Parliament.

Zingeris signed the Lithuanian Independence Act 31 years ago, currently a new committee is being created to support Belarus and Ukraine, there is a 99% chance that Emanuelis Zingeris will head it.

Emanuelis Zingeris is well respected in the diaspora as a politician, he understands their challenges and expectations, including that of the Belarusian, Ukrainian and Jewish.
