From October to December 2022, the ISHR-Switzerland section conducted a medical camp Centre Hospitalier Préfectoral (CHP) Kpalim, Togo. The Project was supported by the ISHR-German section under their GFM-Projet santé publique-Afriqu. The camp was in the spirit of SDGs 1, 3, and 10 and was led by Dr. Jules Kokouvi A. Atcheki who heads the Surgery Department at the center. He was helped by a team of local and visiting surgeons and anesthetics mobilized by the ISHR team.

24 surgical procedures were performed involving 12 patients from less privileged backgrounds of the country. The procedures were aimed at ensuring the well-being of people who were living with serious and debilitating illnesses for several years. With the procedures and treatment, the team is confident that the people will live better longer lives.
