On April 8, 2022, the International Society for Human Rights (ISHR) turns 40 years old. It was initially founded by 13 people committed to the defense of human rights. Alongside the German section who will be celebrating 50 years of existence, ISHR continues it’s commitment in standing up for political prisoners and human rights defenders especially in the face of Russian aggression on Ukraine. As we prepare internally to mark this day, we invite you to follow us and talk to us on Twitter (@IS_HumanRights) as we honor the work of human rights defenders worldwide in their service to humanity.
