A world in exigency, our future an emergency
Rising heat, a planet in panic
Earth grumbles, with tears like a raging beast.

Weather extremities, a norm norm to embrace,
Earth’s sweet snuggles, I miss.

Raging fires, vengeful waters,
Earthquakes, droughts, heatwaves, evictions,
Anti-bodies by earth to cope.
Dread fills the air as the vulnerable suffer and marginalized bear,
Your rights and mine plunged into an abyss of neglect.

The right to life, health, shelter, livelihood eroded.
Our planet weeps, a call to action before it slumbers.

Change and nurture a bright future,
Hack into the Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle shift
Advocate, Adopt, Adapt and Adjust to renewables,
Neaten our lifestyles to nourish nature
Groundbreaking efforts must arise,
Energized by our collective will to mend our planet and protect our future.

??? Will we not rise to shield our rights,
?? Will we recline to our fate,
? Or are we ready to change???
