Before his capture by Russia, Yaroslav worked for Obolon, Ukraine’s largest beverage manufacturer.

Abduction

On March 20, 2022, Russian soldiers broke into Yaroslav’s house. They abducted Yaroslav and two of his relatives and took them to an unknown location. The soldiers also took all of Yaroslav’s documents from his home. Later, the two relatives were released, and Yaroslav was taken to Russia, where he remains imprisoned.

In January 2024, Yaroslav’s family learned that he was being held in Penal Colony No. 12 in the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov Region (Russian Federation).

His current whereabouts and condition are unknown.
