Abduction

Yehor was abducted by the Russian military on 2 July 2022. He was held in a local torture chamber in Kherson until 2 September 2022, after which he was taken to Crimea “for trial”. Yehor is currently being held in Pre-Trial Detention Centre No. 2 in Simferopol. Officially, his status is listed as “hidden/frozen/you are not there”, meaning that he is treated as if he does not exist. The only official confirmation of his detention is a letter from the FSB (Federal Security Service). Additional information about his whereabouts has been provided by individuals who were detained in the same facility and were later released or sentenced.
